India, Buddhist shrine in a garden

Mindful Travel is the Fast Track to Positive Change

April 13, 2021 //  by Alana Roach//  Leave a Comment

I took this photo in Bodh Gaya, India… it’s one of the most beautiful garden shrines I have ever seen in person…

Traveling gets you out of your comfort zone which is often something that will push you to up level your inner life game. Inner life shifts help us in every single way that truly matters… 🧘 often times, when we are home, around the same circumstances, we lack the motivation and appreciation to do that thing that will positively impact our lifestyle, which in essence helps us feel inspired to accomplish what it is that we have been sent here by the Universe to do! This is a joyful journey! Full of contrast.. ultimately rewarding..

This is why I LOVE mindful travel trip.. it’s an adventure that..

“Leaves you speechless and turns you into a storyteller.”-Battuta

When we went to India, we took sleeper trains, stayed in whatever guest house @lonelyplanet suggested was safest, took cold bucket “showers”, got food poisoning, argued, cried, laughed, and were enamored with the beauty we were able to witness A LOT.

When we went to India, we dug deep, witnessed our ego, spiritually evolved, journaled a lot, meditated, did yoga, experienced an incredible culture, saw incredible people, places, and things…

When we went to India, we wore masks to protect ourselves from the pollution, had black snot, coughed a lot, were stared at like we had 3 heads, were asked for autographs, were snubbed, nearly scammed, and we made it…

When I went to India, I decided to follow my passions instead of going the route I thought you wanted me to go. After 3 years of following a yoga teacher in my yoga classes, I became my own yoga teacher on a daily basis. I made a list of things I loved to do, and I made it my life.

When I left India, I became a yoga teacher for you. I started organizing international yoga retreats. I started writing my book, blogging, and telling you my story…

I love traveling combined with experiencing cultures, steeping yourself in nature, mindfulness practices like yoga and meditation because it is, in my opinion, the fast track to big stellar change.

& I can’t WAIT to show you what retreats I have in store for you.. get ready.. we’re going to the mountains, the rainforest, the beaches, and temples…

Meet Alana

Alana’s love for yoga came from firsthand experience with just how powerful the practice is. “In 2009, Yoga found me. Inside the studio, she experienced a deep sense of belonging, but the most profound part was what happened after. “I felt as though I was at true peace. I finally knew what the word meant. Until that moment, I had just understood it cerebrally. There is something profound to be said about Peace dropping into the heart.” Read More
